The dormakaba Kaba Mauer 70091 Variator A is a high-security, changeable mechanical key lock designed for safes rated CEN 0–II. Its eight-lever mechanism provides approximately 280,000 theoretical key variations, while the standard mounting footprint makes it suitable for many safe installations and replacements.

The lock’s coding can be changed conveniently from the front using a change activator, without removing the door lining or accessing the inside of the safe door. Rekeying can also be initiated through the slide unit at the rear of the lock.

Manufactured with an electrolytically galvanised steel lever mechanism and a robust die-cast case and bolt, the lock provides a 12 mm bolt throw. The key remains retained while the lock is open, helping prevent accidental removal before the safe is secured.
